University of Technology, Jamaica - Master of Philosophy in Information Systems
The Faculty created the Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) programme to broaden the knowledge of the field with the intention to allow candidates to become applied research professionals within the computing discipline. MPhil candidates are required to complete a total of forty (40) credits on the programme, comprising of eighteen (18) credits course work component and twenty-two (22) credits research component.
Candidates who successfully complete the MPhil programme can scamlessly articulate into the research-based Ph.D. programme. Candidates already with Masters degrees can access the programme at the appropriate level, depending on their academic standing and experience.
The Master of Philosophy(M.Phil.) in Information Systems started in 1999 and the course is 6-7 years in duration.
