NVQ Level 2 General Agriculture

 SKILLED AGRICULTURAL, FORESTRY AND FISHERY WORKERS

Entrants to the program of training for General Agriculture Level 2 are prepared with knowledge, skills, and attitudes to enter the Agricultural Industry as a Supervised Skilled worker, capable of holding posts such as Field Assistants/Officers, or Farm Supervisors. The training covers multiple agricultural Units in Livestock, Horticulture, crop production and protection, sales/merchandising, operation of farm vehicles, and Soil Management. The people skills needed to operate in the work environment are included to enhance the marketability of the trained agriculturalist at this level.

Who is this qualification for:

This qualification is for persons pursuing the qualification for General Agriculture Level 2 who have successfully completed the qualification for NVQ-J Level 1 General Agriculture. Individuals may enter the NVQ Level 2 in General Agriculture after successfully completing, NVQ Level 1 in General Agriculture, CSEC General Agriculture Level 1, supported by relevant on-farm training.
