NVQ Level 2 Light and Heavy Duty Equipment Operations


This qualification is for persons who participate in a range of routine civil construction or manufacturing activities relating to material handling operations. It is for the worker employed in the manufacturing sector where large quantities of material are produced, transported, and stored. Persons seeking a career in civil construction or those who want to gain proficiency in the use of various equipment can also pursue this qualification. The workers at the lower levels are given clear instructions on how to carry out their tasks, but at higher levels, they can be contracted to operate various equipment related to material handling operations and/or the supervision of this equipment on the civil works construction site.

Persons who complete this qualification can be employed in the following jobs:
 Job titles: Civil Works Officer; Earthworks Machine Operator; Roadworks Machine Operator

Individuals may enter level II Certification in the Civil Construction Industry with relevant level I vocational experience and qualification. After achieving BCC20715 Certificate in Light and Heavy Duty Equipment Operations, individuals could progress to the BCC30715 Certificate or a wide
range of other qualifications in the Civil Construction Sector and broader construction industry
