These individuals will be interfacing with offenders serving community-based and custodial sentences, and on the sex offender register; as such, they are required to attain the appropriate competencies to execute the roles and services of Probation Aftercare Officers and Sex Offenders Registry Registration Officers. This qualification plan includes a range of specialized competencies such as Case Management; Risk Management, Motivational Interviewing Techniques; Counselling Techniques; Introduction to Mediation; Communication and Report Writing.
