NVQ Level 3 System Administration
This qualification is ideal for persons who have successfully completed the NVQJ level 2 in Computer Service and Support or Network Service and Support and wishes to advance their career in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Industry. The system administrator is responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining, troubleshooting, monitoring, and securing the network system. This includes duties such as maintaining, supporting and troubleshooting virtual servers, client-server environments, wide area network (WAN) and local area network (LAN) equipment. Duties also include scheduling, maintaining, and monitoring data recovery and backup; setup and train users; maintenance of basic security best practices; resolving elevated helpdesk incidents, change management requests or tickets assigned.

Individuals may enter level III Certification in Network System Administration with relevant level vocational experience and qualification. Where lower-level qualification plans exist, these MUST be completed.
