JTEC has developed Standards and Guidelines to support Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition of qualifications. This supports international commitment to Flexible Learning Pathways and encourages Lifelong Learning. It also enhances the progression pathways between the education and training sectors.

Each Higher Education Institution in Jamaica is expected to have a policy that guides its Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition practices.”
