University of Technology, Jamaica - Associate Degree in Police Studies and Management
The Associate Degree in Police Studies and Management brings together the academic and the practical, creating a field of study that will expose participants to general managerial practice and professional practice in policing. The course of study of the Accelerated Promotions Programme of the Jamaica Constabulary Force(JCF) and incorporates specialized training at the National Police College of Jamaica(NPCJ) and at UTech, Jamaica. The course of study reflects the knowledge, skills, and attitudes required for the management of the JCF, aligned to the training in the practical, operational and contextual aspects of policing. The duration is 10 months.
The modules are offered in modular format. The first session is five(5) weeks conducted by the National Police College of Jamaica followed by six(6) additional sessions of seven and a half (7.5) weeks each conducted by the University of Technology, Jamaica. The JCF determines the start date of each cohort.

Entry Requirements:
Students will be selected by the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) according to their organizational and management needs. All students must meet the basic University requirements of 5 CSEC / GCE O-Level subjects including Mathematics and English
Language . In addition, all applicants must have successfully
completed the Jamaica Constabulary Force Supervisory
