University of the West Indies - Bachelor of Arts in Music and Performance Studies
The B.A. in Music and Performance Studies is designed for students who have a strong passion for music and the arts. The programme exposes students to musicological and ethnomusicological concepts with core courses in music theory, aural training and critical listening, while also providing students with academic grounding in one of the Liberal Studies subjects, and allowing for specialisations in music technology and sound or in music education. Graduates of the programme are expected to be lifelong adaptable learners, critical and analytic thinkers, capable researchers and communicators. This programme provides a basis for postgraduate degree study in Cultural Studies and related subject areas.
