The responsibilities of the Community Health Aide include conducting outreach for medical personnel or health organizations to implement programmes in the community that promote, maintain, and improve individual and community health. Community Health Aides’ duties may also involve providing information on available community resources to clients, provide social support and informal counselling, advocate for individuals and community health needs, and collection of data to help identify community health needs. Having completed this NVQ-J Level Qualification, candidates will be awarded a certificate, which is regionally and internationally accepted. It provides a basis for matriculation and is an alternate route to higher education.
