This qualification targets individuals preparing to work in Agricultural Crop Valuation in the Agriculture, Horticulture Industry. Agricultural Crop Valuators primary duties involve collecting farm information historical data, market research, conducting site visits, conducting assessments/appraisals, analyse and calculate the value of crop using historical data and the market value of crop and detailing the evidence of the valuation process to prepare and present a valuation report. Request for a valuation can come from stakeholders or Ministry Agencies and departments and the valuators may sometimes be asked to attend court to present evidence. This Level 3 qualification for Agricultural Crop Valuation is the first official qualification of its kind and will allow farmers/stakeholders to be compensated for loss/damage to crops. Persons who complete this NVQ-J may work as Agricultural Crop Valuators.
