This Level 4 in Community Safety and Security is designed to equip police officers to conduct duties related to social initiatives and programmes related to crime prevention and reduction. These police officers are chiefly assigned duties as Crime Prevention Officers, Community Policing Officers, and School Resource Officers/ School Liaison Officers. This qualification will equip officers with the requisite skills to identify, analyse and prioritize the causes and effects of crime and social disorder in the wider society. The Crime Prevention Officers, Community Policing Officers, and School Resource Officers/School Liaison Officers through this training will be prepared to effectively deal with constant changes in social disorder and crime trends. Upon completion of this qualification graduates will be able to apply the laws and policies; Build and sustain partnership with stakeholders of the programme; Effectively enforce discipline; Provide professional guidance to students; Display the skills of a role model/mentor and use the media to impact students positively.
