University of the West Indies - Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics and Language Education
The Double Major in Linguistics & Language Education is for students who wish to qualify themselves as trained teachers of English for the secondary level. The combination of Education courses and Linguistics courses position graduates of the programme to teach English effectively in a Creole-speaking context. Graduates of the programme are able to seek recognition from the Ministry of Education as Trained Teachers. This programme provides a basis for postgraduate degree study in Linguistics, in Education, and in related subject areas.
