University of the West Indies - Bachelor of Arts in Literatures in English
The B.A. in Literatures in English is for students who wish to pursue the study of a diverse range of literary genres, including non-traditional genres such as reggae poetry and narrative film, and who are interested in the historical, cultural, personal and political dimensions of these bodies of work. The programme includes courses which focus on Caribbean authors, and also gives students opportunities to pursue creative writing. Graduates of the programme are expected to be lifelong adaptable learners, critical and analytic thinkers, capable researchers and communicators. This programme provides a basis for postgraduate degree study in Literatures in English and related subjects.
