University of the West Indies - Bachelor of Education in Information Technology
The B.Ed. in Information Technology is a programme for aspiring teachers who wish to become professionally certified as IT teachers at the secondary level. The programme of study consists of specialist courses for teachers of IT, a core of education courses which provides the essential foundation for any programme in education, and content courses offered in the Department of Computing. An immersive practicum experience prepares the student-teacher for their profession. The programme is intended to stimulate students’ commitment to lifelong learning and continuous professional development. This programme provides a basis for entry into a range of Master’s of Education programmes, such as in Curriculum & Instruction, Educational Measurement, and Teacher Education.
