University of Technology, Jamaica - Bachelor of Laws
The Bachelor of Laws(LLB) was developed in 2008 with the first lecture being taught in January 2009. The goal of the Bachelor of Laws is to provide students with the opportunity to obtain a thorough knowledge of the law and legal systems of local, regional, and international societies without leaving the island.
The programme, combines teaching and research which equips learners with the ability to complete the academic stage of training and to progress to the vocational stage of training at one of the law schools on the region.
Graduates of the Bachelor of Laws are also equipped with the skills to gain employment in diverse law and non-law related-fields in Jamaica and the wider Caribbean thus making valuable contributions to the society.

Entry Requirements:
Five (5) CSEC/GCE O-Level passes including English Language at the CSEC General Proficiency Level with grades 1, 2, or (Grade 3 as of June 1998) or GCE O’Level with grades A, B, or C.
Plus, passes in any two subjects at CAPE in both units 1 & 2 with grades 1, 2, or 3 GCE A-Level with grades A, B, C.
Other methods of entry include the following:
Mature applicants are to be at least 25 years of age or have passes in five subjects including English Language at the CSEC General Proficiency Level with grades 1, 2 or (Grade 3 as of June 1998)/GCE ‘O” Level with grades A, B or C plus other qualification to be assessed by the University’s Prior Learning and Assessment Unit. - Number of Credits: 100
