Qualification Description: Blockchain is a distributed, decentralized database that allows multiple
parties to verify and track digital assets and transactions without the need for a central authority or
intermediary. Each block in the chain contains a cryptographic hash of the previous block, creating a
permanent, unalterable record of all the transactions in the chain. This makes blockchain a valuable tool
for a wide range of applications, from cryptocurrency to supply chain management to voting systems.
The knowledge and skills components of this qualification, are geared towards demonstrating knowledge
of how to design a blockchain system, implement a blockchain system for business solution, evaluate
blockchain systems, manage risk and implement security measures within blockchain, manage projects
and generate reports, manage communication and maintain customer relations, manage operational
finances and provide effective leadership in the workplace.This programme will provide the learner with
the necessary competencies required to design a framework for operating a blockchain network, design
comprehensive blockchain solutions, develop a blockchain business model, create basic elements of
blockchain system, create trust and activate a blockchain with smart contracts, convert blockchain to real
money manage and maintain blockchain systems, design data analytics for blockchain, identify cyber
security threats and vulnerabilities and generate various reports.
Qualification Value: Having successfully completed this NVQ-J Level 5 Qualification, candidates will
be awarded a Bachelor’s Degree, which is regionally and internationally accepted. It provides a basis
for matriculation and is an alternate route to higher education.
