University of the West Indies - Diploma in Social Work
The Diploma in Social Work is designed to allow graduate-level applicants with non-Social Work degrees the opportunity to gain professional certification in Social Work. The programme comprises thirteen (13) courses including a practicum, which can be completed over one year full-time or two years part-time.

- Entry Requirements: Applicants must have completed a Bachelors degree in a field other than Social Work from a recognized University, and have at least one year's work experience in social work or a related human service field. Applicants must, along with evidence of their academic qualifications: submit a statement of 250 - 300 words indicating their reasons for wanting to qualify as a social worker, and request two persons to submit references directly to the Admissions Section attesting their suitability for professional Social Work.
