University of the West Indies - Bachelor of Arts in Writing, Literature & Publishing
The B.A. Writing, Literature and Publishing targets students with broad interests in the processes surrounding the production of published materials, from the writing, through the editing, to the publishing and marketing stages. The inclusion of Literature courses in the programme ensures that students gain a grounding in the study of literary texts, while the inclusion of creative writing courses gives students first-hand experience of the writing process. Co-designed by publishing professionals, this programme intends to meet the needs of the local and regional publishing industries. Graduates of the programme are expected to be lifelong adaptable learners, critical and analytic thinkers, capable researchers and communicators. This programme provides a basis for postgraduate degree study in Literatures in English, in English Language, and in related subject areas.
