University of the West Indies - Bachelor of Science in Geography (Major in Geography, Minor in Geography, Minor in Human Geography)
The Major in Geography (BSc/BA) is designed to produce well rounded graduates. Students are exposed to human and physical geography courses. A diverse range of more specialized and applied courses are offered in the final year to equip geography majors with targeted transferable skills that will allow them to apply their recently acquired geographic knowledge in a professional setting. The geography internship course will provide opportunities for students to gain credit for working with the government, private industry or non-governmental organizations and gain skills and experience such as organizational and administrative skills as well as professional interpersonal communication. Programme is usually 3 years unless student begins at the preliminary level.
