This qualification is aimed for persons who are registered as Technical Electrical Assistant (TAS) and persons who are already working under the supervision of Registered Electricians, Licensed Inspectors with the Government Electrical Regulator (GER) and or Professional Electrical / Electronics Engineers registered with the Professional Engineering Registration Board (PERB) or persons holding position or performing duties of superintendent of Roads and Works of any Parish Council. Persons who complete this qualification can be employed as an Electrical Inspector.
This course will focus mainly on the testing and checking of electrical wiring, circuitry and equipment in buildings, whether domestic, commercial and industrial installations. Consequently, the electrical inspector will validate the entire system and verify that the installation conforms to local and international code requirements.
