This Welding Level 1 qualification is intended for individuals who would like to work within the Welding industry or for direct supervised skilled workers who participate in a range of routine field and factory work activities relating to welding and fabrication. Welding is a fabrication process whereby two or more parts are fused together by means of heat, pressure or both forming a joint as the parts cool. Individuals will have the opportunity to develop the knowledge, skills and competencies required to perform a range of duties in welding at the basic level.
