University of the West Indies - Bachelor of Arts in Language, Communication and Society
This programme is for students who want to understand the place and utility of language at all levels, ranging from people’s daily lives to governmental language policies. The programme’s courses focus on the social and communicative value of language, the organizing principles behind the structure of language, and the place of language in the historical and contemporary Caribbean. Graduates of the programme are expected to be lifelong adaptable learners, critical and analytic thinkers, capable researchers and communicators. This programme provides a basis for postgraduate degree study in Linguistics, in English Language, and related subject areas.
