The aim of the B.Sc. in Real Estate Management and Valuation is to produce graduates with the highest standard of skills, professionalism and ethical integrity in matters related to real property, construction and the associated environmental issues addressed in the Course of Study. The Course is structured to deliver the required skill set for work in the sectors of real estate such as real estate brokerage, property management, valuation, real estate economics, property development and financing as well as planning, in both the local and global marketplace.

The programme structure comprises eight (8) semesters undertaken over four (4) years of full time study. In year 3, students are required to be engaged in a period of internship in the industry; the aim of which is to provide them with the necessary exposure to industry practices and requirements. The course of study is four (4) years in duration, organized on a full-time basis over an academic year consisting of approximately thirty weeks (2 semesters).

  • Entry Requirements: Five (5) CXC/GCE ‘ O’ Levels subjects including English Language and Mathematics. Preferred subjects: Geography, Economics Accounts and Information Technology. (O’ Level with A, B & C or CXC CSEC Grades 1, 2, & 3 since 1998.) The following are the PLA options which may allow an applicant to matriculate into an undergraduate course of study: Where passes in CSEC or GCE Ordinary Level examinations are needed, the applicant may pursue equivalent subjects at the UTech Academy. Students must attain a minimum passing grade of 50%.
    Certificates, Diplomas and Associate Degrees acquired from accredited /recognized institutions may also be used to matriculate into the course of study, once these are recommended by the PLA Unit as equivalent to the normal entry requirements.
