The certificate programme was designed to provide an entry-level to computing concepts and produce well-rounded graduates. The programme is dedicated to ensuring that its graduates are competent in communication skills, introduction to programming skills, general education and community service engagement, and are able to matriculate into the Associate degree. This 1-year degree started in 2010.

The course is one(1) year in duration, organised on a full time/flexible  basis over an academic year consisting of approximately thirty weeks(2 semesters).
