University of the West Indies - Bachelor of Science in General Chemistry
The General Chemistry major encompasses the traditional chemistry sub-disciplines of analytical, inorganic, organic and physical chemistry. This major allows students to specialise in one of these sub-disciplines at Level III or broaden their studies by choosing environmental and/or food chemistry electives. The General Chemistry major provides students with a broad and balanced overview of fundamental chemical concepts and the topics and methods important in contemporary chemistry and sustainable development. A major in General Chemistry provides students with the skills and knowledge that will serve as a solid foundation for a wide range of careers in science, medicine, and research.
