The qualification is designed to promote the broader organisational responsibilities within the Correctional
Services Sector administered by the Overseer and the assistant Superintendent. This qualification covers
the management of areas such as Correctional Health, Risk and Security, Plan and manage Offender
Services; Coordinate Offender Intervention Practices; Investigation and Intelligence; Budgeting
and other Supervisory Skills.
The Intelligence stream reflects the skills required by intelligence officers operating in a corrections
environment to interact with human sources, analyse intelligence information gathered through human
sources and develop standardised intelligence products.
