The B.Ed. Language Education – Literacy Studies targets teachers who wish to upgrade their status from a teaching diploma to a Bachelor’s degree. The programme of study consists of specialist courses for Literacy teachers, a core of education courses which provides the essential foundation for any programme in education, and content courses offered in the Literatures in English and Linguistics programmes. The programme is intended to stimulate students’ commitment to lifelong learning and continuous professional development. This programme provides a basis for entry into a range of Master’s of Education programmes, such as in Inclusive & Special Education, Curriculum & Instruction, Educational Measurement, and Teacher Education.
