University of Technology, Jamaica - Associate of Science in Baking and Pastry Arts


The Associate of Science in Baking and Pastry Arts is a two-year degree course of study designed to provide effective leadership training in the  preparation and evaluation of a wide range of bakery products, to satisfy the needs of the national, regional and international levels. Graduates of this course of study will develop practical, technical and managerial skills in baking and pastry arts.

These skill sets will equip them with the capabilities to provide for sale and consumption of delectable goods of highest quality in a service environment equipped with  operational competencies designed to achieve customer satisfaction and foster loyalty. Graduates will have the opportunity to create professional linkages in the industry  through education, internships, apprenticeships and professional conferences.
